Long standing Fortune Green Councillor Flick Rea steps down

In a letter to residents of Fortune Green ward she said, “I have been privileged to represent Fortune Green as a Liberal Democrat Councillor for 35 years, but age and recent poor health have caught up with me and it is time to hand over the role of fighting to make sure that this special corner of Camden isn’t forgotten by the powers that be at the Town Hall.”

Landsec Consultation Summary: In March Landsec, owners of the O2 centre site, published a summary of responses to their latest consultation. Key points include a positive response to new green spaces, apprehension about the overall scale, especially the plan for 2000 new flats, and concern about how existing services like the tube will cope. Key points from Landsec meeting: At the end of March representatives from Landsec spoke to a lively online meeting organised by local group WHAT and the West Hampstead Neighbourhood Development Forum. 90 residents attended, with more turned away due to Zoom capacity, which shows the level of local interest.
