Local resident Nancy Jirira has been chosen by the Liberal Democrats to stand in the upcoming by-election in Fortune Green. Nancy has lived in the West Hampstead area since the mid-1970s and has worked as an NHS nurse in Camden for over 20 years.
Nancy is a governor at Emmanuel School, volunteers at the Food Hub hosted at Sidings Community Centre and is part of the Fortune Green Safer Neighbourhoods panel. She regularly attends a local church.
Nancy says: "I’ve lived in this area for most of my life and cared for local people as an NHS nurse for over 20 years. It would be my absolute honour to serve my local community as an elected Councillor.”
Whether it's rubbish or roadworks, Labour isn’t listening. Nancy Jirira be a fighter for all of Fortune Green and make sure we aren’t forgotten.
