Local campaigner Sam Campling highlights the neglect of Netherwood Street by setting off paper boats in the lake formed by the blocked drains. This is a lighthearted response to a really frustrating issue faced by West Hampstead residents who are trying to get to the Kilburn High Road.
With a large proportion of the pavement blocked off by water during heavy rainfall, it means that accessibility is severely affected and buggies, wheelchairs and elderly people are stuck. We are calling on Camden Council to fix this drain and to start loving our streets.
EDIT AS OF NOVEMBER 18TH:
Victory! The Council have finally fixed the blocked drains and there has now been no lake appearing for several weeks. Thanks to everyone for their support.
