Labour councillor quits Gospel Oak... again
One of the Labour councillors in Gospel Oak is quitting. He is leaving his important role here to take up a well-paid job working for the Mayor of London.
Amazingly, this is the second Labour councillor to walk away from Gospel Oak in just six months. It seems they reallydon’t want to do the job.
There is so much work to be done. Gospel Oak is a great place to live, but the area has been let down by Labour, who take residents for granted.
The Labour Council has made a mess with its changes to the rubbish bin collections. Queen’s Crescent market needs new investment and ideas. The parks and playgrounds have not been looked after and people are worried about crime, including phone-snatching from scooters.
Local Lib Dem Stephen Crosher says, “Gospel Oak Lib Dems offer the chance of a fresh start. Loads of residents switched their support to us in the last by-election in May. We moved up to 2nd behind Labour, with the Tories slipping back to 3rd and the Greens trailing behind. This time, we are fighting to win.”
“Lib Dems don’t quit – we work with you and for you”.
