2020 is likely to see a lot of planning and development issues in NW6. Lib Dem councillor Flick Rea recently asked the Labour Council for an update on the Liddell Road site, including whether more affordable housing could be included in the plans. The short answer is “no” – there will be flexible business space, open space, and predominantly homes for sale. Work could also begin on the development at 156 West End Lane (planning permission was granted in 2017). The other big issue will be new ideas for developing the O2 car park. This would be a major development and the Lib Dem team is interested in residents’ views about what the development could include.
