I’m Andrew and I’m one of your three Liberal Democrat candidates (together with Linda Chung and Will Coles) to represent you as councillors in the Camden Council elections on 3 May this year.
I have lived in Camden (first West Hampstead) since 1994 and moved to Hampstead 5 years ago. Since then, I have been involved in the Hampstead Neighbourhood Forum and the Heath & Hampstead Town Sub-Committee, helping to coordinate with local businesses.
This is a wonderful part of the world and more Liberal Democrat councillors will mean us promoting policing, the environment and sustainable housing so that we can have safer, cleaner and less polluted streets in “lovely, leafy, liberal Hampstead.”
Professionally, I have been a solicitor since 1996, am now a partner in niche commercial practice in the City and I hold an MBA from London Business School. I want to use my experience as a lawyer and business owner to hold Camden Council to account for you.
I have been involved with the Liberal Democrats since 2009 but the Brexit vote has increased my motivation to get involved. I counted the votes for Hampstead Town in the early hours of the morning of 24 June 2016 and I know I share my opposition to Brexit with the vast majority of Hampstead residents who were allowed to vote.
